Common questions
Where is my data stored?
On your device. If you're signed into iCloud, it syncs across your devices using your private iCloud account. We never see your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I sync across my devices?
Sign into the same iCloud account on each device. LighterMind uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your entries, tags, templates, and attachments through your private iCloud database. No setup needed.
I lost my data. Can you recover it?
Because your data lives in your private iCloud account, we have no access to it and cannot recover it. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, you may be able to restore from a previous backup through Apple's restore process.
Is there a Windows or Android version?
Not currently. LighterMind is a native Apple app and uses platform features like CloudKit, SwiftData, and EventKit that aren't available on other platforms.
How can I export my data?
Your data is yours. We're working on broader export options — in the meantime, ask about your specific use case in Discussions.
